What to expect in a yoga class
If you’ve not tried yoga before, you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome from the small group of fellow yoga students in my class.
Class sizes tend to be between 5 and 10 people.
The class format is:
-
Activations – warming up the body
-
Energy Block Release (EBR) sequence – releasing tension in our bodies
-
Posture or sequence work
-
Pranayama (breath work)
-
Relaxation

Modifications are available for the exercises ensuring they are accessible for all.

I invite students to focus on their own movement, working at a pace and level that is right for their body at this moment in time.

I have a short health questionnaire for new students to complete which enables me to be aware of any health issues that might affect the choice of movement for you.

You can wear loose comfortable clothing and ideally have bare feet, or socks with rubber grips on the bottom.
This is to ensure your safety on the mat.

Mats, blankets and cushions are available, but please bring your own if you can, along with a bottle of water.
"I joined Alison's class whilst recovering from an illness. She has given me excellent instruction on how to adjust my movements to suit my condition and I really appreciate her support and care"
